Urban Bee Keeper Brand | Packaging | Promotion | Site
I developed branding, packaging, a website and marketing collateral for an urban bee keeper. The product line began with honey, and has grown to include grooming products made from honey by-products. Sweet Comb Chicago bee hives are located in Rogers Park, a Chicago neighborhood, where they help combat the decline of the bee population.
Canal Shores Golf
Non-Profit Community Golf Course Brand | Environmental Graphics | Print and Online Promotion
Currently I am working with the marketing committee to prepare for the 100th anniversary of Canal Shores. I have designed a commemorative logo and posterized course photos for a classic presentation.
My first project for Canal Shores was designing the new brand. The course was established as the Evanston-Wilmette Golf Course in 1919. Over the years, the course fell into disrepair. A few years ago, community members banded together to revitalize the course, renaming it Canal Shores. After working with the board to create a new brand, I created T-shirts, print collateral, a digitally published promotional story, a billboard, banners, and social media postings.
Since the new branding was established, course attendance improved dramatically. Today, golfers as well as dog walkers, joggers and bird watchers use the course. In addition, Canal Shores hosts community-focused events like movie nights and family campouts.
I designed branding, packaging, marketing collateral and website for a candle artisan. I worked closely with the client to develop a look that would appeal to her target audience. This has been very successful for her.
Catalog Design and Production
Study abroad programs for college students. Catalog page layout.
I worked with the art director of the marketing department to layout and produce five hundred pages following their design style guide. The catalogs described study abroad programs for college students. Thirteen individual catalogs featured trips available by geographic areas. The individual geographic-specific catalogs were bound together into a set for college study abroad offices.
Publications International Ltd. Creative Director | Product Development | Designer
I developed the product formats and designed products to help start the Children's Division at PIL. A few examples are shown here. Based on this work, PIL attracted attention from Disney, Sesame Street, and other companies. This division subsequently became very successful.
Linda Weber | Fine Artist Website design
I designed a website to showcase the work of a local contemporary artist. My goal was to create a clean and intuitive design to allow clients to easily view the artist's work.
I design and produce a line of silk screened items. It is very enjoyable and cheaper than therapy.
Publications Int. Ltd.
New Seasons Gift and Stationery Division New Product development
I was the co-manager of a department charged with product development. We attended trade shows, followed the markets, and recommended products for development. I designed physical formats and communicated with Asian vendors to have them prototyped. I traveled to Asia several times a year to meet with manufacturers and source materials.
After prototype selection was approved, my department produced files for the first product of each kind that we developed.
A new product could be something completely new, like adding a metal frame that holds a photo onto the cover of a photo album. An example of that is the Metal Craft line which was very successful.
